KCCI Elections 2026–28: 56 Candidates Contest 30 Managing Committee Seats
KARACHI: The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) is set to hold elections for 30 Managing Committee seats on Saturday, September 26, 2026, for the 2026–28 term.
Polling will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until 5:30 p.m. The election of KCCI office-bearers, along with the Annual General Meeting (AGM), is scheduled for September 30.
According to the election details, the KCCI Election Commission received 67 nomination papers. Following withdrawals and scrutiny, 56 candidates remain in the contest for 30 seats on the Managing Committee.
The elections are being held for 15 Corporate Class seats and 15 Associate Class seats.
Corporate Class
A total of 34 nomination papers were filed for the Corporate Class. After five candidates either withdrew or were declared ineligible, 29 candidates remain in the race for 15 seats.
BMG candidates contesting the Corporate Class seats are: Shahid Ismail, Zafar Saeed Baghpatee, Mobeen Waqar, Aslam Pakhali, Jahangir Moghul, Faisal Jahangir, Muzzammil Rauf, Aslam Pervez, Shaikh Wasim Ahmed, Ahsan Saleem (Roomi), Syed Atiqur Rehman, Khalid Riaz, Zoaib Fakhruddin Dabbawala, Adnan Ahmed Paracha and Sadiq Abdul Razzak.
BMA candidates contesting the Corporate Class seats are: Muhammad Saleem Khan, Mohammad Sajid, Muhammad Qamar ul Islam, Syed Mubarak Hussain, Sri Chand Himrajani, Mubashar Hussain, Asim Khan Jadoon, Kamran Umar Abbasi, Gulzar Shah Mishwani, Fazal Ghani Awan, Asad Rehman, Aijaz Hussain Qureshi, Syed Najmi Zargham and Muhammad Tayyab.
Associate Class
For the Associate Class, 32 nomination papers were initially submitted. Six candidates later withdrew, leaving 27 candidates competing for 15 seats.
BMG candidates contesting the Associate Class seats are: Talat Mahmood, Mohammad Ibrahim Kasumbi, Mohammad Farooq Afzal, Haji Asif Chamdia, Chaudhry Aamir Ali Khan, Atif Jamil ur Rahman, Abdul Khalid (Insaf), Amir Mansha, Muhammad Fahim, Shabbir Ismail, Syed Umair Uddin Hussain, Alamgir Khokhar, Muhammad Usman, Saad Ali Younus and Johar Iqbal.
BMA candidates contesting the Associate Class seats are: Mohammad Sharjil Goplani, Wasiq Hussain Khan, Chaudhary Amjad Ali, Rana Zahid Farooq, Altaf Hussain, Muhammad Ismail Lalpuria, Muhammad Qasim, Muhammad Humair Amin, Muhammad Yakoob, Naseem Askar and Naveed Iqbal Billoo.
The election will determine the composition of KCCI’s Managing Committee for the 2026–28 term, with members voting across both Corporate and Associate categories.

BMG Group with a clean sweep in the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry elections 2026-28.
Alhamdulillah — All praise and gratitude belong to Allah Almighty!
Once again, by the grace of Allah Almighty, the Businessmen Group (BMG) has achieved a remarkable clean sweep in the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) elections.
Under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Zubair Motiwala, and with the dedicated efforts of the entire BMG team, a strong and comprehensive campaign was carried out across Karachi, reaching businesses, markets, traders, and members of the wider business community.
The overwhelming support from both Corporate and Associate members demonstrated their continued confidence in BMG’s vision, leadership, services, performance, and commitment to the business community.
Alhamdulillah, all BMG candidates — Serial No. 1 to 15 in the Corporate Category and Serial No. 1 to 15 in the Associate Category — were elected with approximately 91% of the votes. This outstanding result is a powerful reflection of the trust and confidence that KCCI members continue to place in BMG and its leadership.
As Johar Iqbal, and as a proud member of this team, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every member who supported us. I am especially thankful to everyone who placed their trust in me, gave me their valuable vote, supported my campaign, and contributed to my success.
